Why can't I use git on Jean Zay?
On Jean Zay, it is strongly recommended to access a Git repository via the HTTP(S) protocol. For example:
$ git clone https://github.com/myrepo/myrepo.git
Important: This could require generating a specific authentication token. This is the case for Github, for example.
If you must absolutely access your Git repository via the SSH protocol, you must declare the IP address of the Git server via the Administration Form for Login Accounts (FGC). The part to complete is at the bottom of page 2 under “Add or delete IP connection addresses”. Complete the second table regarding data outflow. This form is to be signed and sent to .
