Description

VisIt is a software of scientific data visualisation in 2D and 3D. It accepts structured and unstructured meshes, and particle flows.

Installed version

  • VisIt 3.0.2, parallel binary version
  • VisIt 2.13.0, parallel version compiled with the gcc/9.1.0 and intel-mpi/19.0.4 environment

Usage

The product VisIt may be accessed with the module command. 

module avail visit
visit/2.13.0-mpi  visit/3.0.2-mpi

Version 3.0.2 is loaded by default when entering « module load visit ».

Version 2.13.0 can only be used with an environment mixing gcc/9.1.0 with intel-mpi/19.0.4 as is shown in the output of the subcommand display of module: 

module display visit/2.13.0-mpi

To use VisIt, you simply need to load the corresponding module: 

$ module load visit

$ module list
